Consumers should be aware that flame retardants in upholstered furniture; including sofas, can contain up to 2 pounds of toxic chemicals in their foam cushions. It seems to have been a deceptive decade long campaign by the tobacco and chemical industries to promote flame retardants. These industry dirt bags; seem to have created phony consumer groups, that have distorted science and organized fire officials to advocate greater use of these toxic chemicals. Majority of these chemicals are linked to CANCER, NEUROLOGICAL DEFICITS, DEVELOPMENTAL PROBLEMS and IMPAIRED FERTILITY!
